Teenage obesity campaign

Teenage obesity campaign

Medavia has joined forces with TV commentator Jonathan Scott in the fight against teenage obesity.

After successfully overcoming a weight crisis himself in his teenage years, Jonathan Scott has become the face of a nationwide campaign to tackle the problem. Today Jonathan appears regularly on BBC news as their in-house expert and is currently planning his own TV series. To support the campaign, Medavia is publishing Jonathan’s book, Off the Scales, in Spring 2009. We have also placed several dozen newspaper and magazine articles about his work.

Jonathan works closely with MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition…Do it!), an organisation dedicated to reducing global childhood and family overweight and obesity levels. He considers them “the most inspirational people” and said: “I am truly honoured to be working alongside MEND on the world’s largest targeted intervention and prevention scheme tackling childhood obesity. I love everything about MEND and I really believe that we are making a difference. I have learned so much from them.”

Of the team at Medavia, Jonathan said, “ Thank you for all your support. I am proud to call you friends.”

Medavia supports charities and organisations across the UK by helping them manage the media and promote campaigns.
