AUTHORS

We are particularly keen to promote new authors who have a genuine message.  We offer an unrivalled network of contacts across the media and our new titles enjoy extensive press, radio and TV coverage at launch and beyond.

Please note that at no time would we ask an author to contribute towards any costs associated with the publication or production of his or her work.  Royalty fees and advance payments to authors are detailed in a contract we enter into after agreeing to publish.

We are also able to provide a professional 'ghost writer' to assist in the production of manuscripts if needed.

SUBMISSIONS

Our editorial team assesses the suitability of manuscripts submitted on a range of criteria. These include readership appeal and how likely the published work is to attract media interest.   You should hear back from us within two to three weeks.

1)        In the first instance, please submit:

a)        A short outline of your work in no more than 500 words.  Tell us what it is about, highlighting the key points.

b)      In approximately 200 words, a brief description of yourself -- your age, career and family background and perhaps current circumstances.

c)       If you have it, one sample chapter.  (This is optional at this stage).

Please send the above via email to:  books@medavia.co.uk

or in the post to:  Medavia Ltd, WestPoint 78 Queens Road, Clifton, Bristol BS8 1QX.

Please include your contact details -- address, phone number and, if applicable, your email address.  Do not submit the completed manuscript at this stage.

2)        After assessment by our editorial team, if we believe your manuscript is suitable we will ask you to submit further chapters for consideration and, in due course the complete mss.

3)         A detailed, written agreement outlining our obligations and those of the author is then issued.

4)        Please note that Medavia Publishing can not accept responsibility for loss of, or damage to, any material submitted.
